Signed and dated stained glass panel depicting St. Francis of Assisi, created in 1949 by Brazilian Franciscan artist Fray Arnaldo Marcolino Maas.

The composition portrays Saint Francis in devotional posture with hands raised in prayer, accompanied by symbolic imagery including birds, celestial elements, and a radiant angel above. Rich red backgrounds contrast with deep blues, gold tones, and textured clear glass, creating a dramatic mid-century ecclesiastical composition. The Spanish inscription “San Francisco” appears along the lower edge of the panel.

The work remains mounted in its original iron architectural frame, suggesting installation within a church, chapel, or devotional interior. Panels of this scale were typically produced for ecclesiastical settings rather than decorative domestic use.
