First edition copy of The Clan of the Cave Bear, the debut novel by Jean M. Auel, published in 1980 by Crown Publishers.

 

This work is the first installment in Auel’s internationally successful Earth’s Children series, a prehistoric historical fiction saga set during the Ice Age. The novel follows the story of Ayla, a young Cro-Magnon girl raised by a clan of Neanderthals, blending archaeological research with imaginative storytelling.

 

The offered example is a true first edition, indicated by the full number line (10–1) on the copyright page. The book retains its original dust jacket, protected in a clear mylar cover, with green and yellow cloth boards beneath.

In-House Shipping

Following payment clearance, items will be professionally packed and invoiced for shipping. Buyers will receive a separate shipping invoice reflecting packing materials, labor, insurance, and carrier charges.

Shipping invoices must be paid prior to release.

We ship via insured carriers and select the most appropriate service based on item size, value, and destination.

Oversized / Specialty Items

Large, fragile, or specialty items may require third-party handling. In such cases, buyers will be provided with recommended professional shippers and will coordinate directly with the carrier.

Transfer of Risk

Risk of loss transfers to the buyer upon delivery to the carrier. All shipments are insured for the declared value unless otherwise requested.

Local pickup is available by appointment following payment clearance.
