Large-format first edition of The Art of Frank C. McCarthy, featuring dramatic Western paintings by renowned American artist Frank C. McCarthy with accompanying text by Elmer Kelton. Published in 1992 by William Morrow and Company and produced by The Greenwich Workshop.

This richly illustrated volume presents McCarthy’s powerful depictions of the American West, including scenes of Plains warriors, cavalry encounters, and sweeping frontier landscapes. McCarthy’s dynamic compositions and attention to historical detail helped establish him as one of the most recognized painters of Western action scenes in the late 20th century.

The book includes numerous full-color plates of McCarthy’s paintings along with commentary and background on the artist’s work and career. Many of the images reproduced in the volume were also issued as highly collectible limited edition prints through Greenwich Workshop.
