The print is hand-signed twice, with a gold ink signature within the image and a pencil signature along the lower margin. The title The Gift appears in pencil at lower center. The edition number 303/500 is written in pencil at lower left. Crite was an important American painter and printmaker whose works often explored biblical narratives and scenes from everyday life within the African-American community. Transfer of Risk
