Commemorative cachet cover issued for the launch of the Washington State Ferries vessel “My Cathlamet.” The cover features bold black graphic artwork including a ferry profile and Northwest Coast–style formline design, along with identification for the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The envelope bears a 15¢ United States postage stamp depicting a bald eagle with the inscription “Organized Labor Proud and Free.” The stamp is tied with a clearly struck Seattle, Washington postmark dated March 18, 1981.
The reverse shows additional markings including a green Washington State Ferries stamp and red text reading “USS Puget Sound Ch. #74.” A collectible piece of Pacific Northwest transportation and maritime postal ephemera associated with the Washington State Ferries system.
Condition
Good overall condition with light age toning and minor handling wear consistent with postal ephemera. Postmark remains clear and legible. Please review photos carefully for overall condition.
